How MKTG Produced a Recap Video Just Minutes After Its Event Concluded!

Could you film, upload, edit and play back an exciting recap video to the same event attendees featured in it -- all in one day? If you think that sounds impossible, think again… because MKTG knocked it out of the park to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its client, adidas.

To mark the brand’s birthday, MKTG staged a full day of activities that saw adidas employees celebrate the power of sport through their ‘Try Sports’ clinics. To do this, adidas employees ran the clinics – and shuttled in children from the Boys and Girls Club in Toronto to try out a huge range of new sports.

And by the end of the day, during the evening dinner celebrations, everyone involved in the event was treated to a special screening of a recap video produced though the magic of Cinebody.

Here’s how it worked:

1. Each member of the MKTG team downloaded the Cinebody app, where they accessed a shot list to guide them on what needed to be filmed.

2. Everyone was assigned a 30-60-minute time slot throughout the day when it was their responsibility to film (giving them time to continue running the event).

3. During the morning and afternoon sessions, all footage automatically uploaded to the cloud through the app.

4. A remote editing team worked as the footage was being captured, providing real-time direction to the designated filmers (such as capturing soundbites for crucial tone and context).

5. The final video was distributed back to the event organizers for screening to the attendees/participants just hours later.

And that was it. After a full day of giving back to the community and empowering Toronto’s youth, employees were provided with a quick-turn video showcasing an amazing company event - a great way to spread company culture and build internal camaraderie.
