Celebrating International Women’s Day With Authentic Employer Branding Videos

For 50 years, global ERP software giant Epicor has built a reputation for doing things right – and doing them different. Innovation has been at the heart of its journey. So when it took the decision to mark International Women’s Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, there were no half measures.

It gathered together female executives, employees and even customers to recall some of the highlights of their personal experiences with Epicor.

Unveiling Genuine Stories

Capturing each woman on camera demonstrated the authenticity, enthusiasm and outstanding culture Epicor has built over half a century. And because the process was so simple, each contributor was able to relax and be themselves when the time came for filming.

“Our culture is one of our biggest strengths,” says Natalie Canadeo, Senior Director, Global Talent and Culture at Epicor Software. “Taking the time to create this employer branding video and celebrate the accomplishments of the women in our team was a great way to mark International Women’s Day. I loved the personal stories they shared, and I know so many others did too.”

Drawing Inspiration from Industry Pioneers

Inspired by the likes of Kelly-Moore Paints and Zynga, which had both used corporate video services to celebrate company culture, Epicor quickly got to work.

First, it identified each woman it wanted to feature in the video. Those who agreed were provided with a Cinebody project link and shot list – making it super easy for them to film all the requested material using just their smartphone.

Streamlined Production Process

Once complete, all the footage was automatically uploaded to the cloud, enabling Epicor’s team to edit the video remotely and get it ready for distribution across internal and social channels.

The final video leaves viewers in no doubt about the strength of Epicor’s commitment to its diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives. And it was all achieved simply by getting employees and customers to talk into their smartphone camera.

Conclusion

Epicor's decision to commemorate International Women's Day through authentic employer branding videos showcases their dedication to nurturing an inclusive and empowering work environment. By capturing the genuine experiences and stories of their female executives, employees, and customers, Epicor shines a light on the remarkable culture they have fostered over the past half-century. Through their innovative approach, Epicor demonstrates that celebrating diversity and women's achievements is not only a significant endeavor but also an opportunity for collective progress. Their commitment to embracing the spirit of International Women's Day inspires us all to continue pushing boundaries and breaking biases.
