In 2022, the Canadian Business Banking division of BMO turned to Cinebody to produce a handful of videos centered around their frontline sales employees to provide a bit of recognition & visibility across the organization. The authentic video content that Cinebody helped to create not only generated an immediate, positive response throughout the organization, but also helped break down the barriers between headquarters and the frontline team, increasing overall engagement. Since the videos resonated so well with their audience, the BMO team leaned into Cinebody as their primary vehicle for their internal comms video content strategy going forward.

The Cinebody Video Process

  • After learning the details & storyline vision from the Bank of Montreal team, their dedicated Cinebody producer developed a remote video production plan that was both efficient & simple to implement.

  • The Cinebody team then worked closely with the Bank of Montreal team to implement the plan, developing a high-level structure for the video, building a shot list, and onboarding their selected employees on both how to film & what to film for the project.

  • Armed with the specific shot list and plan, the Bank of Montreal employees filmed all footage over the course of a few weeks, where everything they captured auto-uploaded to the cloud. Their dedicated Cinebody producer checked in regularly to send specific filming direction & tips throughout the filming process, ensuring all content needed was filmed.

  • As filming wrapped up, the Cinebody team kicked off editing with already approved music & custom motion graphics. A first version of each video was generally delivered within 36 hours for review, with finals following soon after for both internal and external distribution.
